Created in 2007, French company Volfoni is a leading 3D equipment specialist. Mastering the whole production process from R&D to distribution, Volfoni offers 3D technologies for all 3D applications from 3D Cinema to immersive simulation as well as engineering, home cinema, education, events, projector manufacturer and gaming.

 

To match increasing demand in 3D products, Volfoni has massively invested in R&D since 2009 to become one of the few companies worldwide to offer active and passive 3D solutions. Volfoni products are appreciated by the most demanding users because they answer, in a creative way, the constantly changing needs of the various 3D applications which are currently booming.

 

In 2010, Volfoni extended its commercial presence in five more countries: USA, UK, Germany, Spain and Hong Kong (with new openings to come in Europe, South America, Middle-East and Asia). Today, Volfoni counts thirty experts in 3D, including three PhDs who specialize in liquid crystal technology and electronics, as well as a VP Strategic Partnerships who has authored best-selling 3D reference books.

 

Thanks to this impeccably curated team, Volfoni recently added brand new 3D solutions to its portofolio, including SmartCrystal™ Pro and SmartCrystal™ Cinema, polarization modulators that work with any single-lens 3D projector. This makes Volfoni one of the very few companies in the world providing both active and passive 3D systems.

 

Volfoni is also focusing on the prosumer market introducing a unique product called ActivEyes, a pair of 3D glasses which are hybrid (active and passive), universal (compatible with all 3D TVs and PCs) and will soon feature new, high-tech applications. Volfoni’s development is backed by strong investors and a solid operation with $7 million in 2010 in revenues (+500% over the past two years).

 

As a major player in the 3D industry, Volfoni is a founding member of the 3D@Home consortium, as well as a member of CST, 3D Consumer and will soon join the International 3D Society.
